Some duties include

• Routinely oversees and monitors care workers and home carers.

• Taking responsibility for the shift and for the service while on duty.

• Responding to emergencies and provide guidance and support to care workers.

• Assist and enable service users to dress, undress, wash, use the toilet and bathe.

• Serving meals to service users at table or in bed, assists with feeding if required.

Qualifications and Experience 

• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent). (Essential) 

• Mandatory training up to date e.g. Fire, Health and Safety, Manual Handling, Medication. (Essential) 

• Experience of providing person-centred care to elderly residents in a care home. (Essential)

• Training in safe patient handling and movement. (Desirable)
