• Provide and enhance our financial and management accountancy service.

• Support management in effectively managing financial resources.

• Communicate in an informed, confident, polite, and understanding manner with clients and customers.

• Facilitate better service delivery and contribute to the smooth operation of the client.

• Offer guidance and advice on financial matters to service departments and other client Departments.

Your responsibilities: You'll manage your time efficiently, ensuring timely completion of tasks. Additionally, you may have the opportunity to supervise junior staff and trainees. You'll also assist in staff training and development, stepping in for the Accountancy Manager and Principal Finance Officer when needed. Requirements:

• Practical experience in financial services, including three years of hands-on experience.

• AAT or equivalent professional qualification.

• Knowledge of local government finance is desirable.

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to prepare reports and maintain financial systems.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Proficiency in using spreadsheet and word-processing packages.
