At County Catering, we take pride in delivering catering services throughout the West

Sussex, supporting schools, nurseries, social care, and independent schools. We

believe in maintaining a high standard of service, and we are dedicated to ensuring

the well-being of our students.

✨ What You Will Do: As a valued member of our catering team, you will be based at a

special school, where you will contribute to the preparation, cooking, service clearing,

and cleaning of the kitchen. Your role will involve ensuring that hygiene and safety

measures are always upheld to the required standards. Additionally, you will provide

written documents related to Health & Safety and Food Safety Legislation and

business requirements.

⚡ What You Will Bring: To succeed in this role, you will need excellent communication

and interpersonal skills. You will also demonstrate an understanding of the unique

needs of young people with special educational needs. Working well within a team is

essential, as is the ability to follow verbal and written instructions and make minor

decisions. Flexibility is key, as you will be expected to provide a high standard of

service and attend necessary training to stay up to date with relevant legislation and

organizational policies and procedures.

✨ Required Experience and Skills: To be considered for this position, you should

possess the following:

1. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to

connect with children and staff effectively.

2. Initiative and the ability to work well within a team.

3. Sensitivity towards the needs of service users.

4. Flexibility in your approach to assigned duties.

5. Physical capability to complete tasks.

In addition, the following qualifications and/or experience are required: • Basic

literacy and numeracy skills. • Level 2 Food Safety Certificate. • Prior experience in a

commercial catering environment. • Experience in customer service, including written

and verbal communication. • Familiarity with Health & Safety practices in a

commercial setting.

✨ Pay Rate: We offer an attractive pay rate of £12 per hour.

✨ Working Hours: Please note that the Catering Assistant role is term-time only and

requires the following hours:

* Start ASAP until 21/07/2023, with the potential to return after the summer holiday

to cover maternity leave until May 2024.

* Working hours: 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM (4 hours per day, Monday to Friday).
